A History of Family Tradition

Our journey began in 1964 when Len and Marilyn Douglas started the business in the cozy confines of their North Aurora, IL home. What started as a small operation in the basement of their residence soon grew into a thriving venture, driven by the Douglas family's dedication to craftsmanship and customer satisfaction.

In 1983, after years of honing his skills as an installer, Mike Douglas, the son of Len and Marilyn, purchased the business. With his vision and expertise, he expanded Douglas Floor Covering into a new, larger location.

In 1997, we took a significant step to provide our customers with more choices and competitive prices by joining the Carpet One cooperative. This partnership allowed us to enhance our product offerings and provide our clients with the best value in the market.

In 2022, we further solidified our commitment to serving our customers by relocating our residential showroom to Randall Road in Batavia, IL. This move enabled us to offer an even more convenient and comprehensive experience for our residential clients.

Since the beginning, Douglas Floor Covering has offered commercial services to businesses in the area. What started as small dental business has expanded into much larger projects, including hospitals, schools, fire stations, police stations, warehouses, and more. There is no job too big or too small for our team to tackle.
